Hi Everyone, welcome back. I am Roslyn SaundersCodependency and Addiction Coach Specialist.

Today’s topic is pretty simple, but it’s very big. So what I want to share with you is the statement: when we’re looking to connect with our feelings, ask ourselves, “How am I feeling inside?” Not how am I feeling in relation to this, this, all of these distractions and all of these outside events. How am I feeling inside?

Get as honest as you can. If it’s overwhelm, if it’s grief, if it’s sadness, if it’s guilt, if it’s shame, feel into that. But here’s the kicker: get someone that understands and supports you through that. Someone that you can trust, someone that you can dig deep down into your own feelings with.

Remember, the opposite of addiction is connection. Now, we’ve got all these things going on around us, outside in the outside world, but we’re disconnected from ourselves. We need to come back inside. How am I feeling on the inside?

You don’t even need to share it with anybody unless you’ve got good counsel or someone that supports you and understands, someone that’s done or is doing this journey. “How am I feeling on the inside?” Then, as much as you can, rigorously commit to staying connected to how you’re feeling on the inside.

Thank you, and I hope that helps.
